Privacy Policy
tap-to-view has no servers, no analytics and no network requests. Nothing you do in your browser is sent anywhere. The extension exists to hide what is on your screen — collecting it would defeat the purpose.
What is stored
One thing: the list of website hostnames where you turned
blurring off. If you disable tap-to-view on
figma.com, the text figma.com is saved so the
extension remembers your choice next time.
That list is held in Chrome's storage.sync. It lives in
your own browser profile and, if you have Chrome Sync switched on, is
synchronised across your own devices through your own Google account.
It is never sent to us. There is no server to send it to.
What the extension does not do
- No data collection. We receive nothing. There is no backend, no API, no telemetry, no crash reporting and no analytics SDK.
- No network requests. The extension makes zero outbound requests of any kind.
- No reading of page content. The content script measures the on-screen width and height of image and video elements to decide what to blur. It does not read image data, page text, form fields, passwords, or any URL beyond the hostname needed for the per-site on/off setting.
- No tracking. No cookies, no fingerprinting, no identifiers of any kind.
- No selling or sharing. There is no data to sell or share.
- No remote code. All code ships inside the extension package. Nothing is fetched or evaluated at runtime.
Why it asks for access to all sites
tap-to-view requests access to every website. This is necessary because its only function is to blur images and videos on whatever page you open, and it cannot know in advance which sites you will visit. That access is used solely to apply a CSS blur and to listen for your taps. No page data leaves your device.

This website
This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads nothing from a third party — the fonts are served from this domain rather than from a font CDN, so no outside party sees your visit. Standard server access logs may be kept by the host for operational purposes.
Removing your data
Uninstalling the extension removes the stored list. You can also clear it at any time by switching blurring back on for every site you had disabled.
Children
The extension is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version is published at this address and the effective date above is updated.
